This is what our guests say

"A sensory oasis on Ærø – aesthetics, presence, and exceptional hospitality"
Aggershøj Guesthouse is a hidden gem where beauty and tranquility intertwine from the moment you step through the door. The house is decorated with an exquisite sense of aesthetics. Outside, you are embraced by a lush garden, where cherry and mirabelle trees are heavy with fruit and the flowers are in full bloom.
We visited for a romantic weekend getaway, but the experience quickly sparked thoughts of how perfect the place would also be for a team meeting, a work retreat, or a small seminar. Here, there is silence and space for reflection, and the opportunity for a group of 10–12 people to gather in completely private surroundings — undisturbed, yet never isolated.
Everything is elevated by the generous hospitality of Karsten and Line. They create an atmosphere that feels both homely and luxurious. We would especially like to highlight the delightful breakfast and the hosts’ wealth of excellent recommendations for everything the island has to offer: hiking trails, swimming spots, restaurants, and hidden gems you would only discover if someone told you about them.
It is a place you long to return to — and one we are already looking forward to visiting again.
Our warmest recommendations from us.
"An exceptionally cozy stay"
Aggershøj is an exceptionally lovely guesthouse – we can only give it our warmest recommendations!

We were welcomed by the sweetest and most attentive host couple (Line and Carsten), who took great care of us from arrival to departure.

The guesthouse is well located in a calm and pleasant area of Marstal. We will most definitely return another time.
"Once the sailors’ widows’ paradise – now it became ours!"
It was once the sailors’ widows’ paradise — and for three days, it became ours, where we were met with warm hospitality and beautiful surroundings. Line and Carsten spoiled us with a lovely breakfast, a glass of wine, and cozy conversations in the beautifully restored guesthouse.

They truly succeed in creating a welcoming atmosphere while preserving the history of the house. We can wholeheartedly recommend taking a mental pit stop at Aggershøj Guesthouse.
“Could you possibly ask for more??” – No, I honestly don’t think you can.
Aggershøj is an experience from the moment you turn into the driveway and catch sight of the most enchanting, beautiful old house with its tower, until you check out — completely relaxed and feeling recharged after a fantastic stay.

There is truly something for all the senses: lovely music playing through the speakers, the most beautiful rooms with preserved details and an interior design out of the ordinary, flowers, delicious coffee from the local roastery, a sublime breakfast, wonderful wines, the loveliest host couple, and the sweetest guesthouse dog, Gerda :)I will most definitely be back — again and again and again.

Thank you for the most wonderful weekend!!
Aggershøj is well worth the journey for those who appreciate quality, kindness, and top-class service!
Very friendly hosts who ensured that we had a fantastic stay. A superb and delicious breakfast laid the foundation for our active holiday of cycling and hiking.

Excellent facilities for cycling enthusiasts: a workshop, a bike library, and secure storage for bicycles. The rooms are small but lovely and clean, and although the bathroom and toilet are located in the hallway, this does not give rise to any negative remarks.

Aggershøj is surrounded by a very beautiful garden, offering wonderful opportunities to sit down with a good book and a glass of wine. If the weather does not allow for time in the garden, the house offers lovely shared indoor facilities instead.
Fantastic experience
We had the most wonderful weekend stay at Aggershøj. Line, her husband, and the rest of the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, and it was clear that they made a real effort to make our stay unforgettable.

The house is truly a gem! It has a unique interior design and was filled with small details that made the experience extra special. The garden is also lovely, with little sunny spots and cozy corners that are perfect for relaxing and unwinding.

Breakfast was a delight in itself. We were truly pampered and served a delicious breakfast experience at the table every day.

Overall, our stay at Aggershøj was an unforgettable experience. We warmly recommend this place to anyone who wishes to escape the stress and busyness of everyday life and enjoy a wonderful stay in a charming house with a beautiful garden and exceptional hospitality.
Relaxation in every way
I don’t think a similar concept or atmosphere exists anywhere else. We enjoyed four overnight stays.

Line, Gerda (the guesthouse dog), and Carsten create a wonderful, informal atmosphere where nothing is lacking — neither when it comes to food nor at the bar — and they are always ready with great advice about Ærø.

We had been looking forward to our stay, and the experience exceeded our expectations. Our biggest concern was having the bathroom/toilet in the hallway, but it was always clean, tidy, and available.

Definitely worth a visit — and experiencing Ærø by bike is simply something special.

See you again!
